Refund Policy

Online tutoring through Bent Oak Online Tutoring is a custom, personalized service based on: • Scheduled appointment time reserved specifically for the student • Tutor preparation time for the student's subject and needs • Session delivery time via online platform • Follow-up communication and planning Because each session involves preparation and reserved scheduling time, our refund policy reflects the nature of this custom service.

If a tutoring session has not yet started and you cancel with reasonable advance notice, a refund or rescheduled session may be considered at the discretion of Bent Oak Online Tutoring. "Reasonable notice" generally means cancellation communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled session start time. Cancellations made with reasonable notice will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and a reschedule or refund may be offered depending on circumstances. Tutoring sessions that have been delivered in full are generally not eligible for a refund. Once a session has been completed and tutoring support has been provided, the service has been rendered. If you have concerns about a completed session, please contact us directly to discuss. We are committed to providing quality tutoring support and will work with you to address legitimate concerns.

Sessions missed by the student or client without advance notice may not be eligible for a refund. If you do not attend a scheduled session and do not provide advance notice, the session time and tutor preparation time may be considered forfeited. We understand that emergencies happen. If you miss a session due to an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to work with you on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice before a scheduled session may not be eligible for a full refund. Late cancellations may be subject to a partial charge to account for tutor preparation time and reserved scheduling. The specific terms for late cancellations may be discussed and agreed upon at the time of scheduling. Clients will be informed of cancellation expectations before sessions are confirmed.

If you have prepaid for multiple sessions or a tutoring package, unused sessions that have not yet been scheduled or delivered may be eligible for a partial refund or credit, depending on the circumstances and the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase. Sessions that have already been delivered as part of a package are not eligible for refund. Contact us to discuss the status of any prepaid sessions.

Specific cancellation and scheduling policies may be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking. Any scheduling agreements made directly between the client and Bent Oak Online Tutoring at the time of booking will supplement this general policy. By scheduling a tutoring session, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Refund Policy.

Bent Oak Online Tutoring reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. The policy in effect at the time of your session booking will apply to that booking.
